Our equity impact

In 2022, 3M continued on our journey to become a more diverse, inclusive and equitable organization. In the pages below, you'll learn about the actions we took, internally and externally, to deliver on our equity commitments.

Our people are our most valuable asset. We continue to make progress against our goals to accelerate workforce diversity at 3M by investing in new recruiting and talent acquisition strategies while continuing to invest in the growth of our current employees. Through global, inclusion-focused events, allyship training and our Employee Resource Networks, we continue to spotlight the power of our culture of belonging.

The work we do within our communities is moving the needle as well, thanks to incredible 3M volunteers and our commitments to investing in our focus areas, such as STEM and skilled trades education. Through partnerships with local school districts and the help of our Community Coalition, we've made an impact – and have identified ways to measure the social return on the dollars we invest.

We also apply our equity lens to the way we do business. We've made strides this year thanks to each of our business groups, which are using their unique expertise to advance equity in a space where they can truly create change. We've also made investments to accelerate our efforts and ability to lead in environmental justice with a focus on key manufacturing sites in the U.S.
