Our equity impact

I am pleased to share with you 3M’s annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Report for 2023. This report serves as a comprehensive overview of the progress we have made in advancing representation, equity, inclusion and belonging at 3M.

We are proud of what we have been able to achieve within our walls and with our global community partners, guided by the belief that a diverse workforce fuels innovation, drives growth, and enriches the communities and markets we serve. 

It is important to note that our DEI journey is not without its challenges and complexities. As we move forward, we are preparing for a significant change within our organization. In 2024, 3M will spin off its healthcare business, which will impact the overall metrics for our diversity goals.

However, we remain steadfast in our commitment to DEI. This transition presents an opportunity for us to reassess and realign our diversity goals to reflect the smaller, more focused company 3M will become. 

I would like to express my gratitude to all 3M employees for their dedication and contributions to our DEI initiatives. Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive 3M.
